With People + Processes That just Work!

Automation that fits the operation you already run

Most title and mortgage operations do not fail for lack of software. They fail at the joins - the rekeying between two systems, the document someone has to classify by eye, the status nobody can see without asking. Automation is worth having where it removes one of those joins, and is expensive theatre everywhere else.

Scalance builds workflow automation, document intelligence and system integration around the operation as it exists. Documents are read, identified and processed across diverse document sets rather than a handful of clean templates. Every stage of the file runs on one platform, so status is a property of the file rather than something reconstructed from email.

Integration is the part that decides whether any of it survives contact with a real desk. Work happens inside your existing stack - Encompass, Calyx, LendingPad, Byte and your title platform - with no migration and no parallel process to maintain alongside the one your team already trusts.

Automation questions

Do we have to replace our LOS or title platform?

No. Integration is the default and replacement is not on the table. Automation runs against Encompass, Calyx, LendingPad, Byte and your title platform, which means there is no migration project and no second system holding a competing version of a file's status.

What does document intelligence actually do?

It reads, classifies and extracts key fields across hundreds of document types, including the messy real-world variants - scans, faxes, and formats that differ by county and by lender. That classification step is what lets downstream routing and validation happen without a person opening each file to decide what it is.

Which parts of the process are worth automating first?

The high-volume, rules-driven stages where a person is transcribing rather than deciding: order intake, document classification, data validation and package assembly. Judgment-heavy work such as curative scoping benefits from better inputs rather than from removing the examiner.

How is compliance handled in an automated workflow?

By making the workflow the evidence. Files are traceable and time-stamped through each stage, so the audit trail is produced by the process rather than assembled afterwards from separate systems.

Can automation and outsourced operations run together?

That is the usual arrangement. Automation removes the transcription and routing, and the operations team handles the exceptions and judgment that remain. Running one without the other tends to mean either a fast process that stalls on exceptions, or a capable team spending its day rekeying.
